Portobello Yacht Club - DTD ?

Planet Hollywood is total booked on 6/28.
RFC we would have eaten at on 6/26 in AK.

So we thought we would try Portobello Yacht Club for dinner.
So reviews have not liked Portobello Yacht Club.

What do you think ?

Can you wear shorts & t-shirts ?
They look a bit upscale - white linens on the tables.

It's been a couple of years since we ate there but we thought it was pretty good. We would go back again. We were a little dressed up to have dinner there though. It's been a while now and I really can't remember what alot of the people were wearing. Like you said, it looked like maybe we should be a little more dressy to go there.

PYC is--on the official WDW website- a "signature restaurant", which seems to mean that the WDW business casual dress code would apply. That would allow dress shorts, but no T's (for men anyway). But that dress code isn't mentioned on the website--
However, PYC is NOT a signature restaurant in the printed "Handy Guide to all the Magic" where the dress code IS mentioned!!
Figure that out!!
When we ate at PYC in May, there were several male patrons in T's, and a few men and women with shorts that might not qualify as "dress shorts". In fact, the fellow at the table next to us had on cargo shorts.
But just to be safe and avoid the actions of perhaps a maverick manager or podium greeter, I think I'd wear a polo with a collar and dress shorts. Better safe than sorry.

We loved our dinner at PYC. The service was excellent and food was also excellent. It is expensive though. Nancy

New chef---bad food---changed the sangria recipe! Hey...and no flames...this WAS my fav restaurant for 15 years....until a month ago.
