Portobello is a favorite and a must do. To look at the menu the prices might scare you but the food is delicious! Like most Disney restaurants the dining room is loud and busy. However, the food and service make up for it.
I have been several times, but not for about ten years. I've had some wonderful meals there. Not sure if it is still served, but they used to have a baked garlic spread for the bread. OMG, it was so good!
Yes, PYC is a must do on our trips. We used to go several years ago in my teens and early twenties and it was very good as I remember. Last December, however, my mother and I went and it was absolutely delicious!!! Maybe my tastes have matured over the years but the meal is not to be forgotten. We split the margherita pizza (tomato/basil) as an appetizer and the farfalle pasta with chicken, asparagus and snow peas as our entree. They served warm bread with roasted garlic also. It was delicious with a glass of red wine. We are definitely going again in October. I crave the pasta!! Enjoy. Below link has their menu.
I would definetely recommend this restaurant - it seemed to me when we were there to be more for "adults" or couples, but maybe that's because we ate late and all the kids were gone
Be careful......As of October 2004, this was our VERY, VERY favorite restaurant. Sometime between then and April 2006 (our last visit), it is no longer our favorite. It has gone SORELY down hill since. They have quite limited the menu.
Gone was our favorite shrimp appetizer. Gone was the Prawns w/Linguine main dish that they would make with rigatoni for me. Gone were the Australian lobster tails.... and on, and on, and on....
I say this with ALL sadness ... three of us ordered the lobster ravioli with crab sauce, and all three of us sent them back. It was AWFUL. Very pasty and very fishy. I never send anything back, and all 3 of us who ordered this, hated it. The rest of the members of our party thought their meals just "OK." I will say they allowed us to reorder without a problem, but I had a shrimp dish (which they said were "jumbo" shrimp, but really, were just your average, everyday, even a bit on the smaller side shrimp), that wasn't bad, but certainly nothing to write home about.
I know everyone here seems to like it, but please ask yourself how long since your last visit. It changed sometime in the past year and a half, and not at all in a good way.
I say it with all honesty that it makes me very sad to report that it has slipped so badly. It really was one of our favorites.
The only saving grace that it had for me during our April '06 dinner was they had not changed their recipe for their Sangria. That was still good.
