Portable Seats?

I have seen small portable seats / stools online. Does anyone know if they are permissable in the parks? I was thinking about getting one, and I could easily store it in the basket of our stroller. I believe I've read that they are not permitted during parades, but what about standing in line for shows when the line doesn't really move (since you're waiting for the current show to let out)? Or if a character takes a break while we are in line for autographs?

I brought a small folding stool (in a carry case a little bigger than a folding umbrella). I used it to watch Spectromagic parade. I was up at the train station and no one told me I couldn't use it. It worked out great. I also saw a few people walking around with the stool/cane combination but didn't see anyone actually sitting with them.
I think it would depend on the size of the stool and where you set up ie: not blocking traffic.
