So I bought a portable ice maker for the RV, seems to work pretty good!!

its the kind that you pour in a gal of water and every 15 mins it pops out 10 cone shapped cubes, pretty good Im happy with it, but I got to thinking..............

what else could I freeze?? nothing worse the a watered down coke from melting cubes, or watery Ice tea, or ......well the list goes on and on

I know that if I did this and left it, the sugar in some these drinks would not be good but, if I rinsed it out, let it cycle 4-5 times to clean it.....

just thinking, anyone else ever try this?

Never tried it, but we have one too so I'd like to know as well.

Happy Camping!

Thanks for the website info but this is what I get when I opened the page: Currently Unavailable This item is currently unavailable from the Manufacturer.
I'll look for availability at another site.

that stinks............. sorry

I got mine from Home Depot a couple years ago. Used it on a trip to TX in July and couldn't get much to freeze out there. I think most are made by the same company with different labels. May take to the Fort at Christmas. Should be cooler there and we use a lot of ice.

Ya know, on other resort boards folks participate in what they call a "fridge swap". A group of people with sequential reservations pitch in a share of the purchase of a dorm fridge and pass it along as they check out and the next folks check in. Maybe the Fort Fiends could do the same with an ice-maker? Once the purchase price of the ice maker is covered, future recipients could add something of comparable value to the "Fiend Bar Share", cocktail shaker, jar of good olives, suitable stemware, cordials necessary to the production of Kungaloosh! etc!
