Portable ECV in a regular Minnie van?

Hi all! My mom uses a wheelchair when she needs to walk longer distances and we’re planning to rent her an ECV at Disney. She has used an ECV a couple times before so not a total novice. We’re staying at Caribbean Beach and planning to use the Skyliner for HS/Epcot and had been planning to take a Minnie Van to and from MK. I’m getting a little worried that it might be hard to get an accessible Minnie van when we need it and I’m wondering if we should get a portable ECV that could, if nothing is available, be put in a regular Minnie Van. Has anyone done this? Is there any rule against putting a portable ECV in a regular Minnie van? We will also have a stroller and will need a car seat for my three year old, which is why I’m thinking Minnie Van rather than Uber (plus the closer drop off points). My dad, husband and myself are all able bodied and able to handle taking apart/lifting the ECV if needed and my mom is able to walk generally (just not long distances).

Any thoughts on best companies/models would also be appreciated!

If there isn’t a rule against it on the website you’re clear as far as that goes. With regular MV’s the ultimate question is will a suburban hold it? Keep in mind these suburban carry 2 car seats at all times, they can be placed in the trunk but when that happens they take up most of the trunk. At least one will be installed for you so that should help space wise. The MV drivers are pretty creative when it comes to fitting everything, so they will definitely give it their best shot!

Ultimate backup is splitting and the ECV user takes the bus. Just have a backup plan where the ECV user either knows where they are going or has a guide to go with them.

How many om your group? You may have too many for an ACCESSIBLE MV. It may be a tight fit, for a regular MV.

Why not just take a Disney bus?
There are five of us in total. The ECV user, a three year old and 3 other adults. I believe an accessible Minnie van fits 7 - 2 ECV spots and 5 regular seats so I think we would be fine. Unless that’s outdated info you think?

The reason I’d rather not take a bus is just that it takes longer, especially because I’ve seen that sometimes ECVs have to wait for the next bus if the ECV spots are already full. It’s only for MK so I’m willing to add the expense on this trip. But am amenable to splitting into two cars if needed.
