Does anyone know if you are able to watch portable dvd players on board of a WestJet flight?

I am wondering if they would interfer with something? I am thinking probably not but thought I would ask.

Yes, you can use portable DVD players, Laptops, MP3 players and anything else that does not send or receive radio signals.

I believe you have to wait until you are in the air, although I can't be 100%.
We had one for my 5 year old and it was fine during the flight.

You are allowed to use approved electronic devices (really anything that doesn't transmit radio signals) as long as the plane is above 10,000 feet. The flight attendant will let you know when you can turn them on and when to turn them off.

Definately bring it!

Their TV System isn't always working!
