Portable DVD player

Hi Everyone,

Hopefully this is okay to post in this area. We are taking our first trip "home" next month, with our 10 month old daughter. We would like to buy a portable DVD player to bring with us for her. Anyone have any recommendations on which ones they have had good luck with (good battery, portable, kid friendly)?

I have a Sony that has great battery life, I don't think a 10 month could operate it though, have to use a remote.

Are you thinking of the portable DVD player for the travel portion? If not the DVC villas have a DVC player (at least in the living room/main room not sure about the bedrooms). BTW, we saw one parent set up a DVD player for their toddler while dining at Artist Point at Ft. Wilderness Lodge. They had a headset (the kind that fit over the ear, not an earbud) for the child to wear so the sound didn't disturb other guests. Never would have thought of doing that.

Portable DVD for the airplane is a must!! Make sure and get her used to a set of headphones way before you leave, most flight attendants will make you use them. We have a Toshiba that has been going strong for over three years, multiple car and plane trips, kids even like to watch it at home sometimes.
