Hello all...we're going to WDW in april and staying in Riverside Any tips on which section to stay in or anytips at all on spring time visits (crowds, lines ect.) any and all tips will be welcome!

We never request a room as we're not interested in the view and the walk to the bus stop, Ol' Man Island, and the food court is one of our favorite things about the resort, so we don't mind how far away we are.

We also love the boat from POR to Downtown Disney. Cool at night in April on the water, bring a jacket.

The crowds in April are not TOO bad and fast pass is a big help. Weather is great, maybe a little warm at times. You're going to love it!!!

We stayed at POR (then called Dixie Landings) our first WDW trip 3 years ago. We loved it! (Me, DH, DD 7, DD 3). We requested and got a room in Magnolia Terrace (in the mansion section). We asked for a corner room so we could have two windows. We really liked our room. It was kind of small, but the rooms at WL don't seem that much bigger. We loved walking to the food court because the grounds are beautiful! Take the water taxi to DTD--it's fun! We also rented one of those surrey bikes and had a ball. Our family has grown, so we've switched to the Deluxes, but if I were going moderate again, it would be POR all the way.

Our family is 5 (and my parents are going), so we got connecting/adjoining rooms at POR. Why did you change to deluxe rooms, how big is your family and what does the deluxe offer for larger families....just curious for future visits.

We have stayed at POR many times, and have found the Oak Manor (Mansion) building to be the best. It's right next to the bridge leading to the resort center, and is located right next to one of the quiet pools. Oak Manor is however a smoking building but they do have non smoking rooms.
