Welcome to the DIS Boards. POR is a great resort. We've stayed there 5 times. Our favorite building is AB 14; it's close to the food court, store, and main bus stop.

Some great photos are at: http://*********************/id244.htm

Are you going alone, taking a family? Give us some specifics and we can tell you what you need to know.

;) Great resort! DW and I stayed there last Sept. in AB14 and like Sandi mentioned it is a great location. We are going back in Dec. and have asked for Magnolia Terrace in the mansions section. Try the following website for pictures and a resort map. Go to the Site Map and scroll down.

Good Luck;)

well it will b my family and i. my mother, father, brother, and myself. and thanx for the website

My family stayed at POR and loved it! It is so calm and peaceful there...the scenery and landscaping is beautiful and very welcoming after a hectic day at the parks. We were in alligator bayou, but I can't remember the building number. Food court was great for us! At times, the child's plate was enough to fill us up, plus they had small containers of raw veggies, etc that were great for our kids. We plan on going again and will look for no other option when it comes to our resort! Have fun!

I was just there 9/20 to 9/25 and I loved the resort, it was my first stay and my family and I plan on staying there or POFQ if it is open next year.
I stayed in OakManor room 9032, the themeing is beautiful, very peaceful. There are several bus stop through out the resort, I was close to two, the main bus stop and one between Oak Manor and Magnolia Terrace. There was a quiet pool nearby as well as the laundry facilities. The food court was nice, alot of selections. The sit down restaurant was good too, I had breakfast and dinner there.
There is a boat to Downtown Disney, very relaxing. The aracade look neat, you can rent bikes and boats at the dock.
The Alligator Bayou section looked pretty spread out but the Mansion section was well placed, you really do not have to walk too far to reach anything.
I think you and your family will enjoy the resort. ::yes::

Sandi:

Thank you so much for the wonderful pictures, we will be staying at POR in November for the first time and the theming looks really special. I have always stayed at a monorail hotel but thought for the amt. of time spent in the room we would give these a try.

I have to say, it looked very empty while you were there!

:D
