Is there a refrigerator in the room and if there is is there a small section that is a freezer? I would like to have some cold water to bring into the park in the morning so we wouldn't have to stop and get some right away for the kids. Then during the day we could buy some more.

Our room had a fridge! We kept baby bottles cold in it. We also had a freezer, it's very small though. Great for a couple of water bottles I guess.

:bounce: POR was the best resort I've ever been to. You're going to love it!!! Have fun :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc .

I stayed there in Sept. The fridge did have a small freezer section. Ours was not cold enough, so we reported it, and they came very quickly and fixed it.

Ours did too. We bring our own water for the coffee pot (which is a must before we start our day) and our water froze. I had to run it under hot water to thaw it out. Depends on how you set the refrigerator's temp controls.

We're staying there on Saturday. Fridges are not a problem, as we normally bring a cooler and slap it full of ice. But what about the rest? Is it nice? Does it compare to the Universal hotels, which IMO are nicer than most of the Disney hotels I've stayed at.

You must request, and are charged somewhere between 10 to 15 dollars extra for a fridge. With small children it was well worth it. Ours did freeze things. They should. If it doesn't, make them replace it and waive the fee for your trouble. Disney is so good about trying to please usually.

Ours did at port orleans riverside. small but held 3 to 4 16 oz water bottles laying on sides.

It's my understanding that the rooms at Port Orleans Riverside, come automatically with a fridge and there is NO extra charge. It is my understnading the the only hotels that have an extra charge for the fridge are the value resorts.

Our room at Riverside had a fridge, but no freezer section that I could recognize, which was a shame since I have one of those water bottles where you can freeze the core. Didn't stop me from keeping that bottle cold. Nor did it stop a trip to Goodings to stock up on cokes!

We didn't have a freezer at POR either, maybe that's something we need to request next time, uh? That would've been nice.
