Can someone explain "bounce back"?

It's an in-room offer leaflet that you get during a stay at a Disney hotel for a discounted return visit. It needs to be booked during your current stay though, you can't phone back later once you've got home and thought about it. There are usually some date restrictions to the offers, but if the offered dates fit in with your plans then you can get some very good deals.

The best idea if you're not certain is to book it anyway to get the discount rate, and you can always cancel it later if you change your mind.

Ok thanks! Yikes, I'm tempted already and I'm not even there yet!!

Considering travel time, will there be enough time in between for my kids to take a 2 hour nap back at the resort?

We have already booked our DCL Fantasy cruise and are planning a week at WDW to start. We are seriously considering the Royal room. Kids are grown and won't be joining. The trip is January and we are booking through AAA. It is too far out to get package pricing so we are waiting on reservations. We know Jan is off season and are hoping rates will be better. Is demand high for these rooms? Should we go ahead and book now?

we were told by a cm that around august is when the 2015 rates come out. They also told us we can book a room only reservation 499 days out.

For MY kids, no. It takes them a while to settle down and actually GO to sleep. I'd personally think that is pushing it too close, but if you think they'll just get in bed and sleep (I'm convinced it's not this easy, is it? LOL) you might be able to make it. Still a little too close if it were me.

I love this thread and it just clarifies my reasons for wanting to stay at por.
So i have a kind of strange question....frogs.
I have a huge phobia of frogs and i saw a comment from somebody saying por had alot of tree frogs. Needless to say i am worried i will be seeing alot of them on our trip.
Im crazy i know lol

Lunch from 12:20 - 1:20
Travel to room 1:20 - 2:20
Nap 2:20 - 4:10
Travel to dinner 4:10 - 5:10

That's not quite two hours for nap and it doesn't allow for any unwind time or any wake up and get ready time. It wouldn't work for my kids.

To add to what Andre said - you can book room only or package using the bounceback rate. If you book room only, you have to pay a deposit equal to 1 nights stay. This amount is refundable up to 5 days before your trip. I think if you book the package, you have to put down a $200 deposit and it still is refundable to 5 days before. After you have booked the trip, you can call and change dates or resorts as long as there is still availablity on the deal. This is the current Bounceback with dates. Values aren't listed, but are available.

3 day disney cruise before OR after 10 day stay at POR? Give me pros & cons. Thanks

I would do the cruise after WDW. You will be tired after spending 10 days at WDW and a cruise is more relaxing. Also, years ago I went on a 4 night cruise before spending 3 nights at WDW and I still recall the sensation of moving/rocking from being on the ship. I felt like I was drunk while walking around the parks. My friend who I went with experienced the same thing. Other cruises that I've been on didn't give me that feeling afterwards but then again I didn't spend days after those cruises walking around the parks. I just returned to my job after those cruises.

Whatever you decide, I'm sure you'll have a great time!

This would not be enough time for us. For my plans, any day that I have 2 ADR's scheduled, I make them for breakfast and dinner. This gives me plenty of flexibility during the day.

Are you able to push TE a hour later? That's what I would do, but my family needs a MINIMUM of 30 minutes before and after sleep to be human again.

As choices go, I would prefer to do the cruise after a WDW stay. That way you can relax on the cruise and take things slow. Unfortunately, scheduling and timing doesn't allow us to do it that way, so we're doing the cruise first.

Laurenxx24, there are LOTS of frogs and little lizard creatures called skinks. I only remember seeing a couple of little tree frogs, but whenever we have stayed in the AB side we have seen many frogs. We didn't have large ones jumping out in front of us, but there are quite a few bridges with small areas of water and foliage under them. We were amazed at the large bullfrogs hanging out in these areas, but we enjoyed seeing them! Just wanted to warn you since you have a phobia! We have also seen a couple of swimming in the river, which is a phobia of mine. The bunnies and ducks always take my mind of them though.

Are you okay with pictures of animated frogs? The photo that is part of the Murphy bed in the AB rooms is a scene featuring Louis the alligator with Tiana and Naveen (both in frog form) sleeping on his tummy.

I have a question about shipping items to the resort. I saw a person on Facebook talk about a resort handling fee for items shipped to the resort. She said that if multiple boxes were shipped, you would pay it on each box.

Does POR have a resort handling fee for shipped items? If so, could someone please tell me how much it is?

I am hoping to order some breakfast foods and fruit snacks to be delivered from Amazon. They tend to ship in multiple boxes, and I don't want to end up paying more than I would to just get breakfast at the resort!!

Thanks!!

There's definitely a lot more lizards than frogs. I only saw a few frogs while i was there and they were tiny little black ones. You should probably stay out of alligator bayou to avoid the wildlife :rotfl:

what characters are at the meet and greet Easter Sunday? Were does it take place? We have an Easter Sunday breakfast at 1900 Park at 8:40 that morning and would love to meet some character at POR before we go eat or Maybe after the breakfast,
