We're so sad that we can't go back to POR! With the FD offer we had to book at Coronado.

I know we'll be spending one of our non-park days at POR, though -- my 5 year old still hasn't stopped talking about fishing in Disney World!

Yeah that's great about the fishing! But my family isn't too impressed with CSR. Too convention like! But we are already figuring out our Christmas Resort now.

We switched to Coronado too. After doing the Royal Rooms last year we were so exited to be going back. The savings with free dining is too much to pass up ~ we will definitely miss POR, it just felt like home and I feel like a traitor, lol.

Sorry to ask but what is the problem with POR and FD? I've been busy and haven't been able to stay in the loop on some things.

Both POR and POFQ are excluded from the Disney Visa free dining offer.

Yes, my Dad wants to take our extended family for Christmas (yay!) and my family and my brother are diehard POR fans. My 10 year old overheard me telling my husband that it looks like we'll have to stay somewhere else and he said, "People who stay other places just haven't found POR yet." Lol!

Doing the happy dance, just booked POR for a really quick (2 nights quick!), sort of last minute trip at the end of this month. My family used to stay here ALL the time, but I've been exploring other resorts over the last 5-6 years. Booking this trip kinda feels like coming home :)

It's worth waiting to see if the general offer is any wider. Or create a new booking but don't cancel the old one until you know for sure? Andre
Not that I would be able to take advantage of it (job schedule), but why are POR and POCQ excluded from free dining offer?

ETA. I quoted wrong post. Wondering why these resorts don't get free dining.

While getting my hair cut today in NSB I met a really great young couple heading to WDW for a first onsite visit. Of course being the Disney fanatic I am I couldn't resist asking where they are staying & the DH said POR. I excitedly said you are going to love it!!! I immediately told them about Andre' & Venomhatch & this great board & the website as they didn't make the ressie by phone & didn't know about online check in or anything really there. They just loved the feel of the resort from the few pics they'd seen. A half hour later & possibly on total overload I left a happy pair of folks excited about checking in to POR on Monday!! I helped them with questions on their adrs as they thought Sanaa & boma were actually in the AK. I hope they have a great time .... I know I will next time as we are checking in on Mother's Day!!!!!!

That is a good question! I had my heart set on POR but surprise no! We were going to get two AB rooms for our party on 9, but we ended up with three rooms at POP. It is a little over $1000.00 more expensive after upgrading the dining plan. I really hope they change their minds and add POR to the offer. On another thread, many people had prebooked and were switching from POR or canceling altogether. Maybe this will cause a change as these rooms in Alligator Bayou are so important to families of 5.

Only if the 5th is a child under 3 in a crib

I think it would be way too crowded, but that's just me. With the 3 of us, we had room, but it was a tight fit with 2 Queen beds, just moving about. They'd have to take out your table to put up the pack and play, maybe others can chime in, but I think it would be tight, unless you have very young kiddos.

But there are rooms that fit 5 right??

Is anybody else thinking about staying with POR despite the lack of free dining? We think our girls will love the Royal Rooms and are having a hard time giving it up in favour of another moderate w/fd.
