Are his performances similar every night? Themes to them? Do not want to miss him!

Think rag time piano player but plays everything including current stuff. He does a great rendition of Sweet Caroline. I don't know where he gets his energy from. He gets the crowd going!

He mixes it up each night but I don't think I have ever had an opportunity to see him two nights in a row.

Hi everyone,
We'll be going down on Wed. We're wondering where we can get milk and bottled water at PORS. Also read it might be cheaper at the Hess Gas station if you don't have a car, and we won't have one this time. What do you think? We will only be there from Wed-Mon.

Thanks,
Deb :)

Yes they sell Half Gallons of milk for $2.95 but the only bottled water I seen was individual large bottles no cases .

Question: I arrive in Walt Disney world a week from tomorrow. We are staying in porr. I got a letter a few weeks ago about the refrigerator with a phone number to call but lost the letter. My father has diabetes and needs a fridge. Can anyone help me??? What should I do. And what will I have to bring to prove to Disney that my father has diabetes?

You can call 407-827-7760 to check if POR has all its fridges yet. If not this number is where you can have it added as a request to your reservation. We called and they added it to ours. They also said that by our arrival ( Sept 24th ) they hoped to have most of the fridges there.

Wow been busy with family health issues... this thread has jumped a lot lately!

Hope your family health issues improve!! I think there have been a lot of jumping threads lately b/c of all us free dining folks heading your way! :)

I have a question about water bottles...I think we really just need a case for the room, is Garden Grocer a better bet? If I order through amazon.com, will I be charged by POR for having them hold it until we get there? Really trying to keep costs down, but know with 3 teenagers, we are going to go through 36 bottles of water, or do families do fine just using the RIFD cups to refill water at the resort? Do you just wash them each night? Then would I need paper towels and dish soap? Really trying to be practical...blah blah blah, overplanner anonymous, my name is lmhall2000!!

Yeah I believe ordering them from amazon would be fine. I have not heard of POR charging anyone for holding anything for a guest about to check in.

Thanks for the kind words also. Not to gain pity or hijack the thread. But My father in law was recently diagnosed with lymph node cancer. So everything has been directed to his chemo treatments and hoping he gets better.

I hope he does well with his treatments! Good thoughts to him and your family!
My cuz is doing treatments now for a similar cancer and doing very well. Last scan was very positive. I hope the same for your fil!

Thanks BSG, Disney has been very understanding about this as well. I love this family I have grown into!

Thank you also. We are hoping with every day that we are granted!

Water and ice are free at the Food Court, you can fill your mugs. There are mug washing stations there too. Not sure how much washing is required for just water?

Anybody who is or has stayed in AB room know if the Murphy Bed mattress comes off to lay on the floor for a kid who rolls a lot?

Absolutely - you have paid extra for your mug compared to non-Rapid Fill guests, and one of the new perks is that you can resort-hop with your mugs.

No, sorry, there is metal in the chip.

In fact, Google puts my site in first ranking for most common Port Orleans searches, above even Disney's! :)

You can see some of the higher bursts, but not really see the 'shows'.

Andre

Sometimes that is how I get back to your site - I accidentally deleted A few things from my favorites but I know if I google port orleans resort your site is right there! I love it. So informative and great pictures.

Another downfall I see is that you have to pick 3 - i wanted to grab a late afternoon one for an mnsshp day but it made me have 3 which seems like a waste if I won't use them.

Are you using a regular ticket for that day? I don't plan on using a park day just the MNSSHP ticket. I'm worried that if I did it would use a ticket day.

I'll pray for your father in law. A couple of months ago my mom was diagnosed with colon cancer. She's been through all of the surgeries and now is doing her chemotherapy. We planned this trip (in 2 weeks) last year before she got sick, but as long as she doesn't get worse while we are gone, the trip will be good to get the kids minds off of it.

I am glad that Disney is understanding off family health issues. Not having to pacify work takes away at least one problem during a hard time!

Venomhatch :grouphug: Praying for your father-n-law...cancer is never easy, but I think it hits harder when it hits the fathers...they work so hard to provide and care for everyone...when they need caring for...it turns the tables around...praying he will stay encouraged and free from pain!

Honestly, I have been so happy to get into POR-R with free dining that I had not really checked out where these rooms are on the portorleans.org website map, (which is awesome btw). I just never got back to it until the kids went back to school. : ) I did not realize that ALL of the standard rooms are so very far out from everything! I sent my TA an email to try to upgrade to garden view if she sees anything available, so wish me luck! I thought about preferred or river view but I think that might be a little more than my husband is willing to spend on that upgrade. :sad1:What is everyone else's experience with garden view rooms versus Riverview. Did you feel it was worth it, and why?
If anyone has pictures of the views from their common balcony, I'd love to see that too!
