There is a photopass desk in the Grand Floridian for sure, and I think in the Polynesian too. There may be one in the Contemporary, but I'm not sure. Maybe someone else will chime in, because I didn't find it easily on google.

These are the other locations where you can pick up the PhotoPass + card (from their Facebook page):

Team Mickey at Downtown Disney

M. Mouse Mercantile at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Trader Jack's at Disney's Polynesian Resort

Zawadi at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

Beach Club Marketplace at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resort

It's passed midnight in FL so I'm happy to announce I am at 99 days til Disney & POR!!!!

Sorry, just had to share my excitement :)

Also, I could be mistaken, but I think that the monorail goes counterclockwise, meaning that if you get on at the MK, the Contemporary is the last stop, so walking would definitely be the more direct route.

The monorail goes clockwise- the Contemporary is the first stop. However, by the time you walk across to the monorail platform and wait for the next one to show up, you'd already be at the Contemporary by walking straight there.

After a crazy 3 weeks of being unsure we were going to make our trip, we have decided to go and now we have only 4 days to prepare! Yikes!! Now I feel so completely unprepared! So, one question at a time as I start thinking of them..... First, We have an AOR at Chef Mickey the first night, but I want to pick up our photo pass card before we go to dinner. What is the best route to go? Boat to DTD, then bus to MK & walk to the Contemporary?

If you are planning on using a day on your park tickets (maybe after your dinner at Chef Mickey's), you can pick up your Photopass+ at the MK before heading over to Chef Mickey's. Otherwise, your best bet would be to take the bus to MK and then take the resort monorail to either the Poly or to the GF. Like a PP said, the resort monorail runs from the MK, to the CR, the Poly, the GF and back to the MK.

Well this time tomorrow Ill be on my flight to FLA! (visting my Aunt in Naples for 3 days then to WDW)
Sent my fax in this morning for my monday check in...just wanted to thank all of you (esp andrewilley, Venomhatch and lately Missytara) for all your wonderful info/tips/advice.
Can't wait to experience POR firsthand for my 1st visit to WDW since I was 12.

We arrive at POR on 10-18. We have a preferred room booked and there are 2 adults, 3 children. I believe that I read there are no stairs, so with 5 of us im sure there will be planty of luggage. I know we will be arriving late night so i will need to add that info to my reservation.
Questions:
1- I was thinking of requesting ground floor.. Any other suggestions on requests to make? Is there a pool close to the Preferred rooms? Can that be requested?
2- When i call to let them know about my late arrival, should I add the room requests at that time or just wait and fax it to them?
3- What number do I fax the requests to and to who's attention?

106 days and counting.... as state in a pp i'm still kind of nervous and excited at the same time about staying at the POR since this will be our 1st time at this resort. Any pointers and tips about things that are Must-Dos here are welcomed... Thanks

Great! Thank you!! That will definitely save some time. We weren't planning to use park tickets the first day, so I think we will just bus to MK. I'll take a look to see which resort is easier to access before we go to CM. Any idea how much time we should allow? Our ADR is 6:20.

We will be @ POR Sept. 2-7 (yay) I am traveling with my parents, ages 80 & 78. My mother has hip problems & uses her wheelchair when she has long distances to walk. We would like to have ground floor to avoid too many stairs but thought it might be inappropriate to ask for a wheelchair accessible room since she is not bound to chair and is able to use typical bathroom facilities. We booked a prefered room to cut down on distance to main building. Should we ask for ground floor at check-in, fax a room request, or will online check cover that? Thank You

Room requests should be on your reservation, you can reiterate it at check-in that you do not mind waiting for a room fulfilling your requests.

Ok Thanks. I guess I will need to contact my TA as the wheelchair came about after we made our reservations. Thank You again

We arrive on Saturday and plan on seeing Yee Haw Bob that night. Is there a TV nearby that we can check the score to the hockey game? (Boston vs. Chicago) ?

We are going back to POR Oct 18-20. My mother (aka the only one who will willingly go with me) and I are taking my 11 year old niece and we are staying in a Royal Room with standard view.

There are 2 TVs over the bar that are usually on to some sports event or ESPN News with no sound during his show (we do the same thing ;)). The big TV near the stage is off when Bob' is performing.

Currently booked at Pofq but not really feeling the rooms under the free dining pin only the royal rooms are left
Has anyone stayed at both and can compare the rooms are they worth paying about 300 dollars more for or should i just stay put?

:yay::yay:So excited to announce that we will be staying at POR!!! I booked a Royal Room with a Garden View for Sept 11-14.:banana::banana:

It's been about 13 years since I've been to WDW ... and now my counter says only 4 days!!! I don't think I have the patience to wait that long. LOL!

We will be in a garden view room 9/12 to 9/15 after we get off the 4 night DREAM, then we move over to AKL Kidani for two more nights.
