Andre - tons of info from my source; no time to post. We are leaving tomorrow.

I will post Monday when I get back to work.

You may be a meanie :lmao: but I hope you and your friends had a wonderful time! Did the little one love it?

First time posting in this thread, but I've been drooling over it for some time. I love the new rooms--both AB and Mansions. Last time I stayed at POR it was still Dixie Landings. Since then it's been Value stays, but now that I've seen the new rooms, I've decided not to book another trip until I've saved enough pennies to stay here.

Thanks so much to everyone who keeps this thread going and provides pictures. It gives me fuel for dreaming and scheming--um, I mean planning! :rolleyes1

Talking to DW about our upcoming trip today. I figured she'd want a room in AB but turns out she really wants to stay in MB. Go figure. Good thing I asked, so now I will know what to request when the time comes.

Question... I booked a package thru Southwest Vacations (deal linked on another site) which had a pretty decent rate plus the applied discount. Since I booked through them do I still make my request for a room by contacting POR 10 days before arrival?
I haven't made a room request in ages, and -I believe -have not bought a package from SWV before.
I would have booked a river view room, but that was not an upgrade option for me. Only upgrade options were Royal guestrooms, so I just booked a standard. Really my main request would be to have a "mansion" room. I would also like to have a water/river view but don't care as much about that.

Here now:cloud9:, a little chilly but can't complain- Kids are still swimming!:rotfl2: We did get a refurbished room- they are nice! The drawers under the murphy beds are three separate ones. Still trying to get a look at the rooms with a king bed- haven't found one yet.:confused3 Will probably be able to get on and post again on Sunday, so I can try and answer questions if needed then.

Not got postable PDFs yet, but here's a JPEG for December to be going on with...

Andre

We were there last December and loved it but there were no activities like movies....thats awesome. We have been to other resorts to watch movies and really enjoyed our evenings. we are planning on a summer disney 2012 trip and would love to stay at POR again!

I got back late last night and haven't had time to read all the posts since last week. I had a fantastic time!!!!:goodvibes

I was in AB building 27 (room#2723) and since my sister was in building 15 I got to see lot of the work going on in building 14.
The parking lot behind 14 and 15 was the staging area for the workers. A large portion of it was fenced-off and was filled with dumpsters and trucks. It was fascinating to see all the work going on. I took some photos of the refurb, but I felt kinda creepy getting photos of any the workers. I also saw work going on in building 38 but didn't get over that way as much.

Carmen, my Mousekeeper, was absolutely wonderful. I finally got to meet her on my last day when I walked in my room. She even let me take a photo of her in front of my door. She made my stay very special by writing notes to me on the back of coasters. I will treasure them forever.
Carmen, YOU ROCK! :thumbsup2

I took lots of photos and video. I'm still going through them all, but here's one of my favorite ones (so far).
I'll post more if anyone's interested.

I sure am glad that you had such a great time and what a great shot!

I see you took off your ticker already that is such a sad thing to have to do. I sure liked your little guy \o/.

I will second Dissneymadness and put in a request for some POR Christmas decoration photos.

I'm so glad you had a wonderful time! The picture you took was wonderful! Such a nice angle! I would love to see any pictures you are willing to share with us. It takes us there! :goodvibes

Like I said, I took tons of photos - over 16GB worth and not all of them from POR.
I found this one though. It's from the lobby. :)

One thing I noticed when I walked in, was that the place had it's own particular smell. I had forgotten about that, but I really felt at home when I noticed it.:cloud9:
I wish there was a way you could bottle it.

Interesting, do you know what was going on around building 14? It seems a bit early for the room refurbishments there...

I have a lot more! I'll post them when I get time.;)
Still unpacking and doing laundry. Living in Wisconsin I have to visit friends later on to watch a football game.

I have no idea. They removed all the furniture and started working on the rooms. The room I peeked into yesterday was gutted. I think I have a photo of that somewhere. I'll try to find the SD card it was on.
I'm a week behind on all the posts here, but from the little bit I've managed to read, it sounds like Missy Tara will be able to answer our questions.

Here are a couple of photos.
