Thank You MissyTara! I will request a microwave. My eldest son is allergic to cow's milk and my youngest son is allergic to eggs and pet dander. I have an epi pen.

You are so welcome.

I forgot to mention that POR food court also has take-out containers and they give you a paper bag with handles to carry it back to your room.

When I go solo, I often like to go back to my room to eat lunch or a snack.

Hooray! My Mickey Mail AND the baby's passport arrived today, so we are all set. :cool1:

I want our Mickey Mail! Are Mail was sent out the 17th of Jan and they said allow four days to get into the system and leave Disney. But here is it the 10th of Feb and nothing. Hmmmmmm

Strange, especially since yours didn't have very far to go!

I know... I have bugged my TA, and she hasn't seen anything. I called Disney and they say its been sent out need to check with your Agent. I cant keep calling her. But I am waiting til Monday. If no show I am calling her and asking her to investigate. It doesn't need a month to get to me.

First let me say that it is exactly 35 DAYS from checking into a RGR @ POR:dance3:

In regards to buses, I have always gave up or at least asked if they wanted to sit. But for the past 7 years I have had at least 1 stroller so I do not even take a seat unless I know the bus is not going to be full, I head straight to the back door area and stand there.

Please don't wait the weekend. Their is no time like the present. A polite call is in order. Peace of mind for you and most of all, us who wish you well. I believe you said they were to send it direct to you, Call Disney for a redo. Good luck my friend!

Yeah I just got off the phone sent another one. I know...it needs to be here before this coming week is up. Just called the TA and she doesn't have it either. Errrrrrgh..... its frustrating when stuff like this gets messed up.

Thanks for the concern. Ill keep the updates rolling in.

its nice to see that there is so much support for our handicap friends on here. .. I have given my seat up for a mom holding a baby, an older person, or a child that is sooo tired from a day in the park that just cant stand anymore :) . it makes me feel good. so next time on a crowded bus, just remember how that person in the wheelchair feels.

sorry didnt mean to change the subject on here :)

I tell you, I love this thread. Not just because POR is my home resort, but also the people on here are just so darn nice.....I am so glad your daughter gets to enjoy Disney. I think they do a wonderful job of making things accessible. Unfortunately, it is the people who don't have to use a wheelchair/ECV who try to skirt around it and make it unpleasant for those who do.

I have to tell you the one that irritates me the most is when the person in the wheelchair or ECV parks in the front of the rear door as they are supposed to do - the bus driver opens the back door and exits the front door of the bus and there are already people boarding in that back door, going right past the person in the wheelchair or ECV. Some people actually pretty much run them over. I feel for the bus drivers who have to constantly ask people to disembark the buses and explain the drill.

It is a thankless job. If I were king, each bus driver would carry an electric cattle prod for just such an occasion.

I would like to slap some of these people and say, some day if you are ever in a wheelchair or an ECV, I hope they see the other side of the coin. Karma does come around eventually.

I have to tell you I agree and always give my seat up for those in need, or such times as women and children. But I love your comment and chuckled when I read this quoted part. I love it!

We will be at POR for our 2nd visit next month  I was told that POR has a schedule with extra pool activities, outdoor movies, and organized kids games. We must have missed it before? :confused3 I can't find any info on it. Can someone clarify if this is still going on? We have a whole day planned to just hang out at the resort and take in all it has to offer!
THANKS for your help !!!

how do you post a pic? Hubster made a countdown calendar on a big poster board and we are planning on telling our dd today when she gets home from school. I would like to share a pic if I can.

Looking forward to hearing about the "big reveal". Can't wait to see the pics.

It just started last fall. Andre puts the current month's activities on his website.

Also, the outdoor movies are in the courtyard. If you are a light sleeper or go to bed early, you may want to request a room NOT near the movies. A few people have young children and were glad they weren't near them. Just a thought.

Video was a bust lol but she is very excited and absolutely loves the welcome to disney package.

You just haven't been looking in the right place... :)

Try http://www.portorleans.org/recreation-activites-schedule.php.

Out of interest, I just Googled "Port Orleans Recreation" and "Port Orleans Recreation Schedule" and the top four ranked hits were all from portorleans.org, including the above page. I guess it just shows, the best Search Engine Optimisation is just to concentrate on getting the content right, rather than any technical optimising.

Here's February's POR schedule, and I'll upload March's as soon into the month as I can get it. Higher rez versions are available from the above link.

She is so cute. She is just beaming from ear to ear. What did she say when she found out about her Disney surprise? Thanks so much for sharing. Your hubby did a great job on the countdown calendar.
