I'm finally finished sorting through the 2,250 photos I took earlier this month and whittled them down to around 1,693 that we'll keep. Uploading them to Flickr takes a while so I'm doing them in shifts, starting with the resort photos and food (so we can do our dining review over on that board, which is one of DW's favorites). Anyway, here are some shots from around Port Orleans Riverside taken just before, during, and after dawn on December 6th - we woke up early and couldn't sleep so we decided to get an early breakfast and of course I had to take the camera and tripod if we were going to be out during the golden hour.
Riverside Mill and Main Building area before dawn:
Water wheel view #1:
Water wheel view #2:
Rainbow over the food court building - I had heard the birds on the roof chattering and was planning on taking a picture of them and when I turned and looked up this huge rainbow was staring me in the face - it was huge in person:
A wider view of the rainbow with the water wheel included:
A cool shot of the clouds reflecting off of the water of the marina - the surface was like glass:
Last but not least, the colors of sunrise in the sky and reflected on the water. I thought this one deserved to be a little bigger:
If anyone is interested you can view them all full sized in the set at:

The entire resort was quite beautiful and the weather was great. Some of the trees still had fall colors on them and looked wonderful next to the river and bridges and mansions, etc. A great escape from normal Florida foliage and scenery.
