Hello,
I am new to the boards and thought i might as well put in my 2 cents worth.
I know that some of you may have read different post about Port Orleans, but i just wanted to let you know that my husband and i have stayed at Port Orleans 5 times since 2000 and the only problem (you can't call it a problem really) we had was that one day mousekeeping forgot our room. Husband called mousekeeping they offered to come do the room right away, we said no just please bring us some clean towels, ect. and the head of mousekeeping showed up 10 min. later with what we asked for and kept apologizing over and over again that the room had not been done. (ps. no mousekeeping did not come in and take the tip and then not clean the room, the tip was still there).
As for the rest of the CMs they have always been nothing but friendly & helpful, also the resort was always clean inside and out.
Now for tipping mousekeeping: Everyone is different when it comes to tipping. We leave $5 a day and yes i am the type of person who will make sure everything is picked up and i even straighten the bed so that it can be made fairly easy. I used to work in hosekeeping and you wouldn't believe some of the horrors i have seen. Sorry post is long but wanted to make sure everything was clear.
