We have just booked two nights at POFQ prior to our cruise next month. We're very excited as we've never stayed there before! We're planning on enjoying the resort as we won't have park tickets, so I'm looking for any tips, as well as good room locations. :)

We were in building 4 centre block facing the car park (but there is a park in between so a nice view) which was good as it made for a quick exit to the car in the mornings but was also close to the food court and swimming pool but not too close.

POFQ is quite a compact resort, so not sure if room location is a big factor, but buildings 2,3,4 and 5 are the closest to the main lobby building and pool.

You can walk over to Riverside and rent boats and surrey bikes as well :)

The boat to DTD is nice feature of the PO resorts :)

The following website is full of information about the Port Orleans resorts:

Like the posted above said - the resort is quite compact compared to others so I don't think any building is a bad choice

We loved our stay here and used the boat quite a few times as a nice change. We also walked over to Riverside to try their food court as it's much bigger and slightly different choice but we only did this once as were quite happy with POFQ food court.

We're stopping at SSR this year so I hope we enjoy it as much as we did POFQ

Have a great trip!

You will love it:goodvibes a very bijou rezort catch the water bus/boat to dtd and back at night, stroll around the resort, very romantic, walk to riverside and have lunch. Relax in the pool and hot tub. Enjoy the ambience as this is a Great place to chill

You can book a horse drawn carriage ride from the Riverside that will take you either around Riverside only, or both Riverside and French Quarter.
Both of the Port Orleans resorts have recently introduced an entertainment Schedule including pool games and nightly outdoor movies.
French Quarter has evening entertainment provided by Elliott Dyson, Riverside has it provided by Ye haa Bob. I've not seen either of them yet but they seem to be very popular with other disers.
The website mentioned in a previous post is excellent and gives details of all of the above.

These resorts are beautiful, definitely worth a walk around.

We had room 6329 in POFQ - great river view without costing extra!
