DH and I will be staying at PO French Quarter for several days in November 2006 to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. A few questions...we see there is water transportation at the resort...where does that take you?
What type of food is served at the restaurant there?
Pro's and con's of staying at PO French Quarter?
Thanks in advance! Barb :wave2:

the boats from starting at about 9 am or so, will take you to port orleans riverside,at 11:30 am,the boats start going to downtown disney and back. boats do not go to any parks, for that you need buses, but the buses at pofq are very good. the counter service cafeteria style food serves typical breakfast lunch and dinner stuff, its ok. we loved POFQ and probably wont stay anywhere else whenever we go now.

There is a boat that takes you to DTD.

There is a food court but no restaurant. There is a good restaurant at POR that you can take a bus or a nice stroll too. POFQ has your typical food court food- good fast food, but the only really special thing is beignets for breakfast. POFQ is great because it is small and easy to get aound in.

This is my most favorite resort.

The boat will take you to Downtown Disney and bring you back. It will not run if it is raining.

They do not have a restaurant at POFW, but instead a food court. There is a wide variety of foods. Pizza, sandwiches, salads, chicken strips, philly cheese steak, yummy desserts, lots of breakfast and much much more.

There are no cons. The people that work there are great and the rooms are very nice.

As others said, POFQ does not have a sitdown restuarant. But with the boats to DTD, you have plenty of dining options there, as well as Boatwrights at POR. The boats are not really any faster than buses to dtd, but they are relaxing and a nice change of pace.

We're staying at POFQ next week and I've set up my DD to attend the Perfectly Princess Tea Party at the GF.

What is the best way to get from POFQ to GF?

Probably a bus to the MK, then the monorail to the Grand Floridian. If you have your own car, you could just drive to the GF, but I would recommend valet parking if you do - the self-parking lot there is very confusing and *far* from the hotel!
