Port Orleans and Reservations

We are staying at Port Orleans French Quarter in August. We made our reservations back in March and our friends who decided to come with us made theirs in June. Since I booked thru AAA and she booked thru Disney she could not link up our reservation. Is there anyway I can contact the hotel and see if they can put us near each other at the resort? Any suggestions would be helpful.

Get your friend's confirmation number and have your TA call in and note a request for close rooms on your reservation.

Alternately, choose a building/area and have your TA request it for your room location - and then have your friend call in and request the same thing.

If you can check in together, then you can reiterate these requests at check-in if they have not already been granted sufficiently. If there is availability, the CM checking you in can re-place you together at that point.
