I am curious to what everyones favorite is? I will be booking our cruis within the next month for 2006 (our first cruise) and I am wondering which side. I would like to be on the side that is facing whenever it docks at CC or wherever else we are going? Maybe someone can help me decide. Thanks!!

I like starboard as you can see CC nicely when you are docked -- assuming the ship backs in like usual.

We also had starboard on our cruise. But since we've only cruised once, I don't know what having the port side would be like. But we thought that the starboard side was nice. For one, we were able to see the DCL terminal as we were leaving port and we could see all the CM's waving with their big Mickey hands. We also had some really pretty views of the open water on the starboard side!

ive cruised on dcl 3 times and had port once and starboard twice and really didnt notice a difference. The views outside the rooms are different but other than that nothing really is different. If you want a view of CC pick starboard because a majority of the time the captain backs in.

We have port side for our upcoming Eastern cruise. What about St. Thomas and St. Maarten? Which way does the ship dock for those ports? Now I'm wishing I was on the starboard side... it sounds better!

It's been years, but when we sailed to St. Maarten, it was still always a tender and the boat docked with nose towards the island. At St. Thomas, I seem to recall that the bow was pointed to open water such that the Port side was to port.
