Hi!

I was just wondering if it made a difference which side the cabin was on (assuming Category 4, 5, or 6) when sailing the western route on the 7 night cruise.......I guess I'm thinking is there more I'll see if I'm on one side or the other........Thanks!

This is an interesting question. I'm curious, too! You almost got buried on "page 3" so here is a little "bump".

I asked this same question a few months ago and never really got an answer. There has been a lot more western cruises since then so maybe we can get some more info. I was thinking that the starboard side (right side) might get a view of Florida from the upper decks or out on the veranda as you sail south on the first day or maybe you can just see the lights at night, unless you are sailing too far out from shore. Anyway hoping for some info from past western sailers.

We just got back from our 8/3 Western cruise and we were on the port side, in cabins 2046 and 2048.

In Key West we faced away from the dock, we had a view of the island off shore.

In Grand Cayman we anchored off shore so we saw part of the island from our cabin (it would be almost the same view on the starboard side, just different buildings)

In Cozumel our view from the cabin also faced away from the dock and city.

In Castaway Cay, we backed in so we faced the dock, not the beach.

I have to say it does not really matter which side you are on. You do not spend that much time in your room while you are in port. We always went up on deck to look around at the islands.
