Port of entry?

We are oldies at WDW, but nebies at Universal...trying to make a day plan, 1 day for each of the parks, but I only see an entry at the Islands of Adventure, can you also enter from Universal, I assume you ca, but I didn't notice it on any map?

Universal Studios and Islands of adventure are two different parks and have different entrances that are connected by citywalk and are not like Disney you can walk them

Thanks, also, we have 2 days alotted in July for Universal, a Friday and a Sunday, should we do one park on a certain day due to it being being more crowded etc, or should we just we just pick?

I would just pick...usually Sunday is less busy for WWoHP but since you're coming in the summer, every day will be busy.

I would do IOA on Sunday since that tends to be the least crowded day. Universal isn't usually so crowded that it is crazy, so any day there is fine.
