Port Luggage Handling

Does anyone know what airlines will tag your luggage at the port and transport it to MCO? I really don't want to drag my luggage if I don't have to.

We flew Delta in April, and they were at port - it was wonderful to leave the luggage there with them and check in for our flight there. Then we just got on the DCL bus and went off to the airport worry-free!! There were several other airlines there, but I can't remember for certain which ones, so I don't want to say in case I remember wrong! Hopefully someone else will join this thread and be able to tell you.

I know for sure Delta & American...can't remember what other ones.

FYI....this service is only for people who have purchased DCL transfers...DCL has seemed to be cracking down on this policy and I have heard that they won't even let you near the airline desks unless you have transfer paperwork.

Ok..I have purchased the transfers too, so after I check in at the port and then arrive at the airport---do I check in again at the airport or do I go straight thru security and then onto my gate area??? This is my first cruise and I have lots of questions and concerns..will appreciate any help you can give me--Thanks in advance!!!

You check in and leave your bags at the port, no need to check in again at the airport. You just go through security and head to your gate. You will have your passes already.

USAIR was another at the port.

Unless this is a very recent change - we were able to check our baggage at the port and we did NOT have DCL transfers.

We didn't either in January, but I have been told you now need DCL transfers to take advantage of this.
