The Radisson at Port Canaveral is sold out for the night we want. What would be another good hotel there? We are renting a car so the distance is not that important.

first of All i do not see what ever the pictures r suppose to be ????

but second did u try the internet?? or call them??/
try back again///

I called and checked the website. Both said they were sold out for December 5. Any other suggestions?

I'm not sure exactly how far from Port Canaveral but there's a Hampton Inn @ Cocoa Beach that I've heard good things about, free breakfast & right on the beach. I know it's fairly close to the cruise ships. It's worth a try !:bounce:

I stayed at the Radisson at Port Canaveral and would not recommend it. I found it to be very very expensive and there are plenty of other hotels in the area that are not as expensive. I found the staff to be not friendly at all and sometimes, downright rude. My son accidentally pushed the wrong button for in-room movies and even though we called right away, they refused to turn off the movie and insisted we pay for it. I heard the Hampton Inn is very nice so you may want to check that hotel.

On a brighter note, the Avis rental company at the Radisson were awesome. I thought I lost my rental car keys and they had a new key made up and told me not to worry about it. Turns out, I found the keys the next morning and all was well. They treated us very well and even helped get our luggage to their shuttle to the terminal. When I called the Radisson front desk to see if anyone turned in lost keys, the employee was not at all helpful or sympathetic. He did not even ask my name or room number to call me if keys were found.

Thanks for the great info. Hope your cruise went well aside from that. :)

Eliminating the distance factor, why not give The Plaza a try (with a "Park" view, of course)...

Here's another plug for the Hampton Inn at Cocoa Beach. We stayed there last July after our cruise and were very happy--the rooms are large enough for a family of 5, and the hotel is close to the beach and offers a free breakfast buffet that's much better than the ones we've had at some other hotels. When we arrived to check in on Saturday morning, there seemed to be lots of cruisers checking out to go to the port...
