Port fees refund question with gc

I just received an email saying I was getting nearly $45 refund for my Jan. 2020 cruise. I paid the cruise off early using a Disney gift card. I just want to make sure that I have it correct. The refund will go back onto that gift card, correct? It doesn't say why I'm getting a refund, but I'm assuming the port fees went down. It's for the WC Jan. 18, 2020 cruise(in case anyone else is on this same cruise). I've gotten refunds before, but not this much.

Yes. If it is refunded now it will go to that card. I have also had it show as a credit on my onboard account - though I cannot remember if I asked for that to happen or if it just did since it was after PIF date.

Ok, that's what I thought, but wanted to make sure since I've also used a cc for payments, but the gc was used last. I was pretty sure that's what the refund would go on. This is before my PIF date. I would prefer the refund to go on my OBA, but I'll be buying more gcs, so I'll just combine them all before our cruise and put the amount on the OBA then.
