Port Canaveral to Vero Beach

We are cruising on the Dream. It is a Sunday to Thursday cruise.
We are renting a car and driving to Vero Beach. Questions...
How is the traffic?
Should we take the scenic A1A or go back out to the highway?

The drive should take about 90 minutes. Perhaps a little longer along A1A. If you've got time, take A1A just to revel in the Florida kitsch.

I'm landing in WPalm Beach in Sept, renting a car and driving to VB...no way am I heading to 95!! I'm taking good old kitschy A1A!! We're not in a huge hurry.
I would do the same if driving from VB to port as well.

Yeah, probably smart to take A1A...will probably take about the same amount of time as it would going to I-95 because of less backtracking, despite the slower speed limit & traffic lights.
Plus, you will get to see a lot more.
