Hi - we are a family of four (inc two young boys), We were considering hiring a car from Hertz to take us from the port to the Hard Rock hotel after our cruise (We chose Hertz because they have a desk actually in the Hard Rock). But now I am wondering whether this is the most cost effective and hassle free way for us??

Any one any other ideas??

thanks for any info!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Well, usually cost effective and hassle free are opposites. A car would be the most cost effective and a limo/sedan/van service would be the most hassle free.
We've used Happy Limo many times to/from PC and will be using them again for our next cruise. They list prices on their website, RT or one way. Add tip and tolls to that too.

We love the HRH too!! :cloud9: :woohoo: We'll be there 2 nts. over Labor Day weekend at the end of our WDW visit.

HTH! :thumbsup2

Definitely the most cost effective. Rental car discount codes can be found at mousesavers.com and rentalcodes.com.

A car rental isn't a big hassle--when you leave the port, you will go on the Hertz shuttle to their outlet and get the car. Yes, you'll move the luggage from the terminal to the shuttle to the rental car to the hotel...one more step than from terminal to limo/towncar to hotel, and you will have the hassle of driving yourself and picking up/returning the car. In exchange for that, you'll save serious dollars.

thats a big help thank you!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 You're right, I can probably hire a car for a couple of days for the same price as the limo, and as we will also be visiting relatives the next day - I guess car hire is the way to go - although I do like the sound of a driver collecting us from the port!!:rotfl:

HRH is our very favourite place in Orlando (even beats the WDW hotels in our eyes - shh don't tell anyone!!:lmao:)

thanks again!:thumbsup2
