Port Canaveral to Miami Airport

we are cruising and will arrive back on Jan 2nd. We all have flights from MCO except for one who is flying out of MIA. He doesn't drive so can't rent a car, I know that he could get transport with us to MCO and fly to MIA, but he's wondering if there are any bus/train options either from MCO or the port itself.

Have tried to search on this board but most of it seems to be talking about driving from one to the other and that isn't an option in this case.

Any advice/guidance you can give would be great

Cruise Connection is a service that provided shuttle service from FL cities to the Port of Miami so maybe they can help you out as the site does mention Port Canaveral service but no details.

How much time do you have? You realize Miami is 200 miles in round numbers?

Yes i realize how far it is, which is why i was looking for something direct from the port rather than having to get to MCO first.

The only transportation from the port would be car service. There is no long distance carriers or shuttles from the port other than to MCO and the local cities. You would have to get to Orlando rail or greyhound and that price would run you around $150.00 one way. You might want to consider one-way car service to Miami which would run you about 5 hours and $400.00.

I can recommend a great limo company in Miami. We flew into FLL and sailed out of Miami which is approx 45 min ride. I got their name from emailing Happy Limo and asked if they knew of a good company in the MIA or FLL area.
They were punctual, polite, had a clean vehicle, everything as planned. It's been a few years though, 10/05.

Even flying won't be cheap. American Airlines' cheapest fare that day is $400.

Check with your cruise line. Cruise lines offer bus service from numerous Florida locations, intended for Florida residents. They might be able to accomodate him.
