Port Canaveral Radisson

If anybody has stayed at the Radison in Port Canaveral prior to their cruise, what time were you allowed to check in? Did you have to wait until 3pm or could you check in earlier and if so, what time?

We have checked in as early as 11:30 or 12:00 the day before our cruise when we stayed there.

As long as the room is ready they will let you check in before 3:00. Even if they do not have your room ready you are welcome to use their facilities.....i.e. pool. You can change in the rest room off the lobby.

We have checked in, in the morning..around 10am..and in the evening/normal time. No problems..room was ready in the morning. They let us go right in.

I love to arrive early..they have a great pool area..and then I can go to Grills for lunch and dinner..lol.

What and where is Grills ? Also, other than McD ,is there a resturant within walking distance of the Radisson ?

There's a Wendys about 3 blocks away, and right next door is Kelsey's. It is a sit down Italian rest. (more like a high class pizzeria). They offer take out too. They do get rather crowed around dinner time.

I was just wondering about the port shuttles. Are there several different times to go to the port and what about after the cruise (even though I don't even want to think about that!).

I got my room at 10 am b/c it was ready. If you get there early, you have first dibs on your shuttle time. We signed up for the first shuttle over there. I think it was 10 am??? Also, we are big fans of Grills. Its at the port, just ask at the front desk of the Raddison and they will help you out. My kids LOVED it. It's cheap, good food, open air, and we saw the Magic and a Carnival ship sail by and the kids got to waive to the cruisers. It got them all excited for the next day. ENJOY!

we did a pre-cruise stay there and checked in around 1pm. They have a real nice pool
