Port Canaveral hotels?

I just got back, stayed at Holiday Inn Express Cocoa Beach. I was staying on reward points, so I don't know how much the normal price is, but it was clean and nicely appointed and the employees were beyond freindly. The free breakfast in the morning was very good with a good selection. It was close to alot of stores and Ron Jons!
It was the nicest HI Express i"ve ever stayed at.

My group of 10 are headed to the hilton on cocoa beach for the night before our cruise. We got several rooms for $40 each on priceline.

The Radisson resort at the port is a great pre-cruise hotel - especially if your driving. It's big enough if your bringing a family and the pool area is great! The price is a little more, like $90.00 a night, but you can park your car there for free and get transportation to the ship and avoid pier parking. We recommended it to others that loved it - we are taking our second disney cruise next year and plan on staying again.

Hello there,
This is Shirley and I live right here in Cape Canaveral - the least expensive motel is Motel 6 which is in Cocoa Beach and I would say about 5 miles from the ships (if that) - I have brochures that I send out to cruisers about the space coast if you are interested.
Just drop me a note at snelsonbrown@aol.com.
Always
Shirley

I am staying at the Port Canaveral Radisson and was wondering about transportation to the terminal on Saturday morning. Does the hotel provide free shuttle service? If they do, is it really crowded? Or do you suggest getting a taxi instead?

We are also staying at the Raddison the night before our cruise. We are renting a minivan to drive from airport to the hotel. Would we be better off to drop luggage and passangers off at the port, then only have the driver take the shuttle?

We leave in 2 weeks, and we would like to hear what your feeling are.

Thanks,
Donna

Yes, that is the best way to do things. Easier for everyone.

Our grp also stayed at the Radisson in Dec. and enjoyed it very much. Our rooms were very nice and pool is beautiful. They also have a great sprinkle wading type pool for the tots. Are you listening Disney???

The FREE shuttle was great! We signned up for the time slot the night before. Soon as they learned we had 16 in our grp. they had 2 shuttles ready - 1 Rad and 1 Avis. The Bell Hop came to our rooms and loaded all our luggage, strollers, etc. It worked out great and would definitely stay there again. :)

Michigan RN.....How did you get that price? I've been checking the specials at the Radisson and they don't have anything that cheap. Do I need to call the hotel directly to get that price?

In January we stayed in a 1 bedroom jacuzzi suite for $99 and that same suite is costing us $109 for our June cruise. The best price that I found for them was directly on their website. It's a visit Fl special. Now this special wasn't listed 6 months out for June, so I would keep checking back on their website. I've seen the regular rooms listed for $69 on the site.

If anyone finds anything cheaper than $99 for August let me know. I booked a standard room for $99 but I would LOVE to get a whirlpool suite:teeth:
