We arrived home yesterday from our break in Spain. Our plans didn't entirely go to plan (we didn't see our Spanish friends in Barcelona due to a family bereavement) this meant we stayed on site at Port Aventura for the whole time. We did manage to get into Barcelona for a day though.
The theme park is fantastic. The attention to detail is great, it's very well built and has nicely themed areas and it's very big! With rides for all ages and plenty of character interaction. The waterpark was also a very pleasant surprise. The hotel was a short walk away from both so there was plenty of fun close by. Originally this was a Universal Park to I think the effort and infrastructure was obviously put in from the start and most of that quality remains. There is even quite a bit of evidence that remains......some "CM's" wear Universal t-shirts and some shops are "Universal Studios" shops and the sign to the waterpark states "Universal's Costa Caribe waterpark"
I must say it was lovely to travel to somewhere door-to-door in five hours that had nice weather and so much fun. The girls went back to school and nursery today after an early night last night really refreshed and not one bit tired.
If there is the interest I don't mind doing a little mini-trippie, if you are a FB friend you can see some pictures I have uploaded there.

Would love you to do a mini trippy. Glad you had a good time :)
