Confused on how this work's--Do we Park at the Port in the Garage.? Then is it our responsibility to drag all of our Luggage to the Port ourselves -I ask because ITS ME ,DD, 2 GS ( 7 & 9 YRS)? Any hint's about anything at all helpful--we leave in ***** 1 Day **** too excited

If you are leaving from Port Canaveral, when you pull in you will be directed to the curb to have your luggage dropped off. A porter will take them (plan to tip $1-$2 per bag) and then you will proceed to the garage. You will only keep your carry on bags with you.

Ok so Do I stay WITH THE LUGGAGE & boy's and my DD parks the car?

No, you all stay in the car go into the garage together. There is a (walking) bridge from the garage to the terminal with it's own security station.

Make sure you drop your checked bags curbside with the porter, if you don't and park in the garage you will be directed back downstairs to drop your bags off. They only tell people about this after waiting in the first part of the security line (we watched a couple of families have to lug bags down to drop off).

No one needs to stay with the luggage. The porters take it and will make sure it gets to the ship. You just pull up and they will take it from you.

We were told from the first security station, where you show your IDs' from you car, to pull to the curb and drop off luggage. Just make sure to keep you carry on with you and that all your cruise documentation and ID's (passport or birth certificates and DLs) is in there and NOT your checked luggage. You should get luggage tags mailed to you, put those on your check bags before you leave home.

Question: It's been a while since we have parked at the port. Back then they would also have a drop off for luggage on the ground floor of the parking garage right as you pull in. Is this still there, or is only the curbside drop off available now? We always like the drop off inside the garage cause you didn't have to fight with all the limos & shuttles to drop off at the curb.

If I wasn't clear, titay2005 said it better. The exact order of operation is:

  1. Drive up to the port gate guard, you will be directed to the curb to drop off your checked luggage
  2. Drop off your luggage at said curb (no people, just luggage!)
  3. Drive to the garage and park. Park on the same level as the foot bridge to make it easiest.
  4. Walk to the foot bridge with your carry ons, passports, documents, children (if you haven't told them to get lost yet).
  5. Go through a quick document check, then security, then the full check-in.
