Port and Cheese tasting

Has anyone been to the Port and Cheese tasting at the Golden Vine, do they still do it? I havn't been able to find anything about it. Do we need to book, is it worth it or do they rush you through? I hope someone has some info on it. Thanks for the help.

My friends and I did the port and chocolate tasting when it was still offered and it was AWESOME!!! We did it about 3 different times and all were fun. They did not rush us at all; in face, they give you all kinds of information and history about the ports. One of my friends did the port and cheese tasting and said it was just as fun. We joked and had a great time with our expert and ended up getting plenty of extra samples

When the chocolate was discontinued, they told us that you could run over to Ghirardelli's and bring some back with you and they'd set it up. We were told the cheese and port tasting far outsold the chocolate and port so they dropped that one. We just went up to the counter where they do the tastings and signed up. They only do it at certain hours of the day but you don't really need an advance reservation. I haven't gone in a couple of years though so I'm not sure if the setup has changed. It used to be something like noon-5.

I'm not sure if they do that anymore. I didn't see any reference to it this weekend.

We did sample the Mendocino Terrace, Sonoma Terrace and the new menu at the Alfresco Terrace and will share our thoughts on an upcoming DIS Unplugged: Disneyland Edition podcast (probably 07/17).

I received a response from DL guest relations, they no longer have wine/port tastings. Two locations in CA offer wine and cheese for purchase, they are Alfresco Tasting Terrace and Mendocino Terrace.
