When the weather is nice and warm my neighbors get together for what we call "Porch parties." we meet on one neighbors porch and hang out. the kids play and the grown ups talk.

Everyone brings something to eat (and something to drink) and it's fun. I love my neighbors.

Last time (Cinco de Mayo) dh and I made a chocolate sheet cake and a vanilla sheet cake. we iced between the layers and then cut them into small rounds or cake. I also made some white sangria. Yummy!

Now I'm looking for some other ideas of things I can make. Got any ideas for me?

Layered Mexican dip...ALWAYS a winner!! Never last very long!!

Well there are a couple of things, I agree with the mexican dip and would like to add tiki torches and Tonga Toast! The recipe can be found in Cooking With The Disney Chefs and it is very simple to make.

INGREDIENTS:
1 Cup Sugar
2 Teaspoons Cinnamon
1 Sourdough Bread Loaf
2 Bananas, peeled
1 Quart Canola Oil, for frying.

1. Mix sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl by hand
2. Slice sourdough bread into individual slices, thick enough to fit a banana
3. Cut each banana in half crosswise, then lengthwise
4.Place bread slice flat and tear out enough of the middle to to stuff a banana slice in
5. In a frying pan pour the canola oil in and fry the bread in canola oil
6.Gently fry for one minute, or to taste
7.Fry other side
8.Remove bread, toss it in the sugar and cinnamon mixture and voila!

Chicken Wings! This is a good one from allrecipes.com I make this in a stoneware pan and it stays hot for a while. Also, you can use more wings with the same amount of sauce.
Serve with Blue Cheese dressing or Ranch.
