I just read somewhere that if you stay at POR you can use POFQ's pool, is that true?

Yes. PO-R and PO-FQ are sister resorts. If you stay at Port Orleans, you can use the facilities at either location. They are nicely connected by bus, another internal transportation van system (that I've never used), and a walking path.

Yes that is true though it is a LOONG walk to the other resorts pools from each resort. 10 minutes I guess, though if you time it right you could use the boat. PORs pool seems larger than POFQ, but they both have cool slides. What I love about both pools is the music they pipe in quietly in the background. Grab a Pina Colada, put your lounger down by some speakers and relax!!!!

going to POFQ from POR - to pool hop might be a waste.

the pool at POFQ is cute -and definitely for young kids -

but for older kids the slide at POR is much better!

Plus POR has quiet pools, where POFQ only has the main pool.

Is the internal transportation van system new? We stayed there twice in 1999/2000 and kenw nothing about it. We both researched POFQ/POR pretty extensive here on the boards.

We lurked for along time but just registered because we bought SSR.

EDIT: Doh! Are you talking about the boat that goes from DTD/POFQ/POR?

25 minutes. It stops and loads/unloads at FQ on the way. Very nice ride.

Thanks for the nice comments. DH thought I was nuts when putting those up. He said "who would care what the inside of the room looks like?" A lot of people would I told him.
