First time poster but a long time "ears" dropper...

This is for anyone who has stayed at both alligator bayou and in one of the mansions....given the choice where do you prefer to stay???

I can't say that I've stayed in both but...my husband and I stayed in the mansions back in 1997. I think the mansions are better suited for adults w/o kids. We loved being on the river and the walk to the busstop and food court was really lovely. Even tho we stayed in the furthest bldg (Parterre Place) we did not mind at all. It really wasn't that far a walk.

My DH and I stayed in the mansions in Aug '03 and loved them. They are close to the bus stops and it's a beautiful walk to the main guest area. It was very quiet in our area and we were close to a quiet pool. We stayed in the Acadian House. The boat to DTD is great too!!

We have stayed in both a couple times. I prefer the mansions. While I like the outside of Alligator Bayou the inside of the rooms are just too rustic for me.
