The rooms are themed differently, there are Alligator Bayou rooms, rustic looking, sleeps up to 5.

Royal Rooms, Very special theming, they do charge a premium.

And Regular Mansion rooms, they are a little more refined in their theme compared to AB.

I would suggest checking out portorleans.org and looking at some of the pictures, they will show you everything you need to know about the theme/decor.

My suggestion to go to the very well maintained POR and POFQ threads. What do you mean by nicer; that is a subjective term if you want a more sophisticated or rustic view.

If you are wondering if it is better than a Motel, it is.
