We are planning a spur of the moment trip, leaving in 30 days. I was able to get AAA rate at POR with a waterview. $132 incl tax.

My question is what building should I request? We have 2 ds and want to be near the food court and close to a bus stop. Our last trip we stayed in AB bldg 14. We're thinking of requesting the Mansions this time.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I'm bumping this up because I'm curious also. We will be there in 30 days and I was also thinking of requesting Mansion rooms. They look much nicer but not sure how close to the main pool or dining hall. I will have DD 10 yrs, DS 11 years and a nephew who is 4 yrs.

Any thoughts?...anybody?

The front of all the Mansions face the river, a waterview can also be a pool view. But since none of the rooms have their own balcony so you really do not get much of view of the water.

Parterre Place and Oak Manor were the closest buildings to the bridge that led to the main building with the food court etc. There is a quiet pool between Oak Manor and Parterre Place and between Acadian House and Magnolia Terrace.

I stayed in Oak Manor, in a standard room and I liked its location, I stayed in one of the wings that was closer to Magnolia Terrace and I was not too far from the bus stop that was behind Magnolia terrace, I was close to the bridge that went to the main building and not too far from the bridge that went to the main pool.
