We have the poly booked for 4 nights deluxe studio standard view. POR just came available for our dates (woods view 5th sleeper) and it is $1800 cheaper.
Convince me to keep the poly OR switch to POR….

we will be doing 4 days at the parks….one day each park. hoping to be there at rope drop :).

Would need more info about ur trip… is it park heavy, meaning transport time is very important. Ur talking monorail vs bus. I’ve stayed both many times. POR is a beautiful mid. Great Disney springs boat ride so lots of food, shopping and easy access. But POR busses, well I’ve often taken pofq bus back ( sister resort) and walked the ten minutes ( lighted safe easy trail). It’s a Big resort and u can be Very Far from the main area ( and the first stop, south depot) we Only stay Preferred if we choose there. We really like it.. good food court, restaurant, pool area, bars, free Yehaw Bob show, ambiance, it really offers a lot. Poly is a beautiful resort despite the decor changes lol. We ve done club level only there so the experiences were great, proximity to MK, it’s clearly a more Deluxe experience. However not a True Deluxe for world travel, more like deluxe Disney style.
If ur visit is about calmer, simpler transport and heavy park time I’d say Poly. If ur visit I’dDisney springs, enjoying the pool, relaxing at the bar and catching a free YeeHaw Bob show one night while ur family laughs n makes memories.. grabbing different type foods from the food court, taking visit to Disney springs boat ride and going over to pofq to use there pool too, POR is better
I think it’s what ur expectation and true needs are. They are both good and CL Poly, cat be beat ( atleast pre COVID lol)

POR absolutely! I’d rather stay at POR than anywhere else. Wish I could live there.

Agree with CaptainAmerica. POR is lovely, but the room is smaller and that 5th sleeper bed is fairly small. I would price out two rooms at a value or mod and then make the comparison. Unless you don't mind being squished in one room.

I would 100% switch to POR for this trip. Save that extra $450/night and rent DVC points next time for Poly. I'm staying at Poly for about $400/night renting DVC points.

All food would be paid for, good luck!!!!

I have stayed at both and I would switch to POR for the savings. I didn't think that the bus service was that good from the Poly to HS and AK (in fact it has bad when I have stayed there). Take the $1800 and enjoy some special dinners or other extras. :)

Unless shorter/convenient transportation to MK/Epcot or the resort amenities are real deal breakers for you, I'd save the money as well.
