I can't decide which to stay at! I originally wanted to stay at POFQ because it's small and has a great pool and it's very pretty. My mom wants to stay at POR and I like that as well, but I've heard the bus service isn't that great but we will be renting a car anyway so that probably won't be a huge issue. I've also started to like the idea of CB because the rooms are big and bright and I love the idea of laying on the beach! Please help me decide!

Hmmm, this is the same conversation going on at our house, so I would love to hear any comments as well...we have decided to do a mod for the first time, to maximize our $$$ (7 days at deluxe w/reg dp vs 12 days at a mod w/deluxe dp)....so far, I want CBR because I love the theming, DH wants POR because of the rooms available, and DS wants POFQ because of the dragon water slide....all right folks, chime in...we're waiting...popcorn::

All I can suggest is looking at as many pictures as you can and picking the one that appeals to you most. If everyone wants something different, draw out of a hat! We've stayed at both of the Port Orleans resorts and they are both great but we much prefer POFQ!! It is such a charming resort and sooo nice to have everything so close. We were literally less than 2 minutes from the lobby, food court, gift shop, pool, bus stop, and boat dock! Love, love, love the boat to DTD!:goodvibes

We have stayed at por and loved it. Pretty and had no problems with the bus. We will be staying there again in early May. You can always go to the pool on the other side. We did that several days, the kids loved the dragon slide but we all loved the giftshop much more on the por side.

We have stayed at POR and CB as far as actual room size they are both 314 sq. ft and exact same room layout. It just depends on what you like for the theme. We love POR and always request the Alligator Bayou. The grounds are so pretty and the big pool is very nice. POR is our destination in 4 days!!! :cool1: I am sure whatever you choose you will be happy with and I wish I could say we enjoyed the resort surroundings as much as we planned to, but when you are at the parks all day and night, not much time to really enjoy the resort.

CB rooms are bigger, biggest mod there is, its not the same size as either PO places. I think they are 40 sq. ft bigger. Its not really a big deal though. Just pick the one with the theming you like. I loved the lake and mini beaches at CBR, so we chose that.

I was just going off the info I read in the "Unofficial Guide to WDW 2008 where they have a page with the room sizes and actual layout of the rooms and that's what it said.:confused3

Ya, its wrong. Its been referenced fairly often as being incorrect in the UG as one of the things the UG does poorly, maybe because so many people work on it. Its listed correctly in most travel guides. I have the UG 07, its wrong there too. I think the passporter has it correctly. CBR has bigger rooms, its noticeable when you're in there a bit.

Allears has it correctly, heres a quote from them "All rooms open onto an exterior corridor, and are roughly the same layout and size (340 sq. ft., slightly larger than rooms at the other moderate resorts)".

We will be staying at POFQ in July for the first time. We like to try and stay at a different resort each time we go from now on. Having stayed at POR and CBR, CBR is starting to look a little run down. POR is nice if you get a room close enough to the food courts and the pools. We choose POFQ because it is new to us and I have read may more good reviews than bad. Also keep in mind that you will always hear 5 bad reviews for 1 good review on other web sites. Good Luck.

Remember POR & FQ are basically attached. You can easily enjoy the amenities of both resorts. You can take either a short stroll down the river or take the water taxi. Two resorts in one. We preferred FQ on our last trip and will stay there again due to the small size and ease of getting around. We stayed in building 5 and were literally 2 minutes walk to everything (bus stop, food court, boat dock).:thumbsup2
