The distance between some rooms in POFQ and the POR food court is less than the distance between some rooms in POR and the POR food court.

Check out Andre Wiley's excellent web page at www.portorleans.org He is also the moderator of both the PO-Riverside and PO-French Quarter FAQs on the Resorts Board. He just posted a video of the walk that was timed at a little over 10 minutes on the Riverside FAQ the other day. I am the designated beinget getter for my upcoming trip. Have a great time.

To answer the OP. There is an internal shuttle(bus) that goes between all 5 bus stops of both resorts. Sometimes the boats go between the 2 docks (not so much this year though) and you'll wait longer for the boat than just walking it if you even fit on the boat since it's coming to/from springs.

I'm not sure if there is still the golf cart shuttle between the 2 pool areas (is the POR main pool finished and opened now?) Also I'm not sure if there is a special shuttle other than the bus for the POFQ dining hall rennovation....

It's a fairly short walk, but i'm lazy and it's one of the reasons I want the little POFQ resort when I stay on property.

I just walked from Riverside (Acadian House) to French Quarter today and it is like everyone has said -- about 10 minutes. It is a beautiful walk! You can also take the boat until 5 pm between each resort.

OP very walkable. We walk up to POR several times a trip even when we had river view in POFQ bldg. 1. Take a look at the map in the 2nd post to see the shortcuts through the courtyards rather than staying on the mail river path.
