Hiya folks,

We'll be going to WDW for a week probably in early/mid October this year.

Just two adults.

We want to start our stay at the Port Orleans Riverside Magnolia Bend (Mansions) section, and then we're moving to a one bedroom villa at Old Key West.

We need to pick another resort for the last Fri & Sat nights, and I'm stumped! DBF (Darling Boyfriend :love2: ) wants to go back to PO Alligator Bayou, but I wonder if another moderate is really the way to go after five nights in a huge villa with a kitchen and a jacuzzi!

We have a budget of around $165/night or less, so the Poly or YC etc. is out, and DVC rentals are too high for Fri & Sat nights.

Any suggestions?

Sometimes you can get a really good rate at AKL maybe a Standard View. If its not too busy they may upgrade you. If you can't do that, I would try a different moderate to shake things up a bit. Maybe CSR. It looks awesome on Buzz2001's website (I believe thats his name). Also that Dolphin and Swan are possibilities for some good room deals. You might also try a cabin at FW if you are interested in that. I would check into the transporation issues first though, internal bus system if that would matter.

The way things seem to be going this year, I would be surprised if you are able to land a deluxe for $ 165.00.

It is fun to try other resorts, and if you've already stayed at POR, I would agree that CSR might be an option for you. Overall, we don't like it quite as well as POR, but there are some things about it that are much better--such as the food court, which is awesome. The theming is also totally different than POR, and many people like it better.

I second you trying to get into the AKL. It is a spectacular resort that would be totally different than your previous two stays. When we stay there we actually schedule no park days to enjoy the hotel. What a wonderful way to end up your trip !

How about a studio at SSR with an AP rate? In June I have that for a Friday and Saturday and it is running me about $421 for the two nights, tax included.
