POR to Dolphin?

What would be the easiest way to get from POR to the Dolphin Resort? I am wondering if it is worth the hassle to pick up a rental car there instead of the airport?

I currently have a rental car booked to pick up and drop off at the airport. We can save an additional $17 by picking up the car at the Dolphin, but is that worth it if the only way to get to the Dolphin is by cab? I would imagine the fare would be $15 or so at the least, which pretty much negates any savings on the car rental.

Take a bus from POR to DHS and then take the boat to the first stop which is the Swan/Dolphin. When you get off the boat the Dolphin is the hotel on the right. If the boat is there it's about a 10 minute ride. There is also a walkway along the canal if you want to do that. Take the escalator up and the car rental place is on your right.

For me, the time spent getting to the Dolphin would be worth more than the $17 savings. I say stick with your airport pick-up & drop-off.

I agree!! For $17, the convenience of having the car immediately works for me. I would stick with the original plan of picking it up a the airport.
