POR Sold Out

Just talked to Customer Service and POR for a week ressie is booked solid for the first half of May.

Hard to believe....I thought may was supposed to be light. 1st -15th booked solid....

guess we will have to try for a fall trip.

Oh that scares me! I am there May 4-10!!! They are having a lot of media events so that's why it could be so busy!

I think with the media event tucked in there in makes sense that the resorts might be full for that time period.

The press event is only for two nights (May 4 and 5)...

Bushman, have you tried another resort, maybe POFQ?

If you are flexible with dates (maybe leaving and coming home one day earlier or later) it is possible something will be open.

Another suggestion: try a travel agent who specializes in WDW.

The birthday celebration on May 5!! It should be pretty busy the weeks surrounding that date. It's a biggie!

That's what I was thinking ... the happiest celebration on earth thing starts on the 5th. Also, I think alot of people may be booking more like May this year rather than Sept/Oct. after last years hurricane season...just a guess though.

One thing you may want to try though is looking on Expedia.com they have rooms that Disney's already sold them so even though CRO may be booked solid, Expedia may have availibility.

If they say that resort is full. Nicely ask if you could get a deluxe resort for the same rate since POR is full. You probably won't get the same rate, but they may give you a discounted rate if you ask nicely.

It never hurts to ask.
