Our trip is Sept 12th to the 17th. Out of curiosity I went tot the Disney travel site and checked availablity for our dates. I comes up saying there is no availalbity? Does this happen often? I know it's free dining but I never thought the hotel would be sold out.

I have never had an experience with POR being booked but I noticed the closer you are to your travel dates the harder it is to find hotels that are not booked. I have tried to make value resort reservations before with all four being booked and have experienced the same with CSR..
I hope your able to find what you need, good luck

I have been trying to add 3 days to my DEC 4th, 2008 trip and they are full. :sad2:
We are in AB, family of 5!

Yep, could very well be sold out! I tried to book that a while ago and couldn't because of the same message. Too many special promos and rooms booked up fast! :goodvibes

Yes, it can and does fill up! I'm trying to get a room for one night (a Thursday! Oct. 25th)
I didn't think I was that picky! Any monorail resort, BC/YC. It's been booked solid and I've been checking everyday for a couple weeks. I'll keep trying up until the 45 day mark, then I'll book something else.
Hope you have good luck!:wizard:

keep trying, my DBF booked our trip 2 weeks ago and we booked CBR because POR was full but I just called tonight to see if they had any openings (Nov4-Nov9) and they did so we were able to switch. I am so excited :cool1: The CMs advised us to wait until the last two weeks and call back, as long as you are doing an even switch it is ok with no pentalies (mod for mod w/ same room type); they said thats the time alot of ressies are dropped. But I also had a thread here on DIS that someone suggested I wait two weeks and call because that is the amount of time disney will hold a room for someone; which is what worked for me. Good luck.

That's great that you were able to switch!

Updated: I guess I wasn't clear. We are staying at POR. Trip was booked and paid for when the Free dining was available. I just never thought it would sell out in Sept. I guess I was hoping for it to be a little slower. I was actually tempted to switch to the cabins but it would have been another $500 and I sold my hubby on this trip because it was such a good deal and he didn't think another $500 was a good deal :rolleyes1

From the repsonses I see that alot of time frame is sold out. We purchased Wyndham points so our next trip to Disney, we'll be at Bonnet Creek. We're getting a 2 bdrm condo for friends at Halloween
