I made reservations today for POR, but now I'm second guessing myself. It will be myself, my sister and our 4 kids who are 2, 6, 7 & 12. My dilema~~Should we stay in 2 rooms at Pop, or cram in to 1 at POR. With AP rates it's about $30 more a night to stay in 2 rooms @ Pop as opposed to 1 at POR. The $89 rate for POR sounded so good at first, but now we're not sure. Just wondering what y'all thought, especially those of you who have stayed @ POR...but any advice/comments welcome!!! :teeth: :teeth:

I would go with the 2 rooms it may be a bit more money but you will be glad you did it, 6 people in 1 room is a bit much, if you get the 2 room the kids can sleep in 1 and you and your sister can get some quiet time in the other room , and not to mention that if you get 2 rooms that means 2 bathroom, very handy when getting ready in the morning,, I stayed with family a few years ago 5 of us in 1 room and it just stunk, by the time it was my turn in the bathroom it was almost 10am so it took a huge chunk out of are day, we were there for 14 days and i didnt make a morning opening once.

This is the same decision that we made for our trip in May. My family and I (7) decided to stay at POP. We decided to get 2 connecting rooms there instead of squeezing into one room at POR. (We have 2 infant boys). The added bathroom for the kids to get ready in is a HUGE plus, and the fact that we can have a room for the boys to wind down in while the rest of us are still up is another PLUS! We have stayed at POR and highly recommend it--if you have 4 people. We had 5 at the time and stayed in a "trundle" room. But it was a bit crowded, and the girls didn't sleep that well. However, the landscaping, pool, and food court were excellent. Check the current rates, 2 rooms at POP might not be that much more than 1 at POR.

Two rooms would make your trip more enjoyable. How much do you like watching cartoons everytime your in the room.

Thanks everyone...I think I will call back today and change it, and the cons probably do out-weigh the extra $30.00 a night. Probably better to make sure everyone gets a good nights sleep as well!!! THANKS again!

Definitely 2 rooms!PC is really nice and it is NEW!Then one day,bus to DTD,take the boat to POR,walk the paths, eat at Boatwrights, and enjoy the boat ride back to DTD.Best of both worlds.:earsboy:

We had the same decision to make, 2 adults plus 3 children.
We are staying at the Pop in June, 2 rooms. 7 nights is going to be about $1100 with AAA rate. It is not a vacation to me if we are crammed in a room.
