Not sure if this should be posted on the restaurant board or the resort board, but since its more about food I will go with the restaurant board. We are hoping for a trip in late Oct. We are trying to decide between POFQ and POR. We are planning on only one ADR and doing the rest CS. We will probably be eating in the resort food court quite a bit.

So long story short which has the better food court?

I liked POFQ foodcourt by far much better. We stayed at POFQ, so it was more convenient, but we went over to POR one night to eat at their foodcourt and it was nasty! It was total mass confusion and we ate from the create your own pasta and it was gross. I will never go back to eat at the POR foodcourt. Maybe I just caught it on a bad night, but it was bad enough that we won't go back.

never been to POR's, don't wanna leave POFQ, but i think POR's is bigger. that said, i've eaten the meatball sub every day and have been happy.. and beignets.

I've never been to Riverside but we always enjoy Sassagoula (sp?) Floatworks and Food Factory at POFQ. They have very good lunch and dinner with lots of options, but their breakfast was kinda gross... well except for the beignets which I always enjoy.

POFQ all the way and remember it's a short walk /Boat or bus ride over to POR if you want some change.

I prefer the POFQ food court, and it is only a 10 minute or so walk to the POR food court for a change of pace. The POR food court may be somewhat bigger, but I'm not sure they have more choices anymore.

One word: beignets.

Okay, I could never post just one word, LOL. Another reason we prefer POFQ is the lines were shorter. It could have just been the day or time, but I like to believe it's because POR is a bigger resort, so there are more people crowding into the food court at meal times. Makes sense, doesn't it?

We stayed at the POR but I thought the POFQ had a better selection, even though it was smaller. Oh, and begneits. Yum! POR isn't bad, but POFQ just seemed to have more items that appealed to me -- taco salad, veggie burger, meatball and cheese steak subs.

In either case, both resorts are lovely and I hope you have a great time!

i agree with you on that one! beignets are AMAZINGG! i've never been to POR but POFQ's food court is great!! i love the food and the amount of choices. the lines move quickly too!! (: cant wait to head over there in august

Do the beignets count toward snack credits? Or cs credits? How much do you get. Mmmmm, just thinking about them is making my mouth water...:)

Hi - Are the food courts in the resorts available if you are not staying in the resorts? How are the prices in the food courts compared to food prices in the parks?

Thanks

Thanks for this thread!

We are staying at POR in December and I never considered going over to POFQ for CS...Hmmm, sounds like I have a new game plan and can add a change of scenary to our routine.

I just thought they had the same food items.

I love DIS:love: discover something new every day

Yes, you can go to the food courts if you aren't staying there. I prefer doing that sometimes, because I have the DDE card and it saves me a little money with most of the resort food courts. I also prefer the food (the POP Century is my favorite food court).
