POR or WL - Transportation Issues

So we have this trip planned and booked for October at POR. It will be me, DH, DS2 and our DD (who is not born yet - any day now!). My parents will be joining us on our 2nd day. My mom mentioned to me yesterday that my dad loved WL and would not hesitate to stay there again...so now I'm thinking with 2 little ones and of course a stroller (probably a double) wouldn't it be easier to stay at WL and have the boat transportation to MK??? We'll have a mini van and will be able to drive to the other 3 parks. I just hate driving to the MK because then you have to take a tram to the monorail or boat.

So, would you spend the extra $$$ and stay at WL for the convenience or do you think the buses at POR will be sufficient? We're going 10/18 - 10/24. Thanks for your input.

I personally would stay at the WL for the ease of the boat to the MK. It was a nice ride over and back. Just a note though, if you leave at park closing, you may have a wait for 2 or 3 boats at peak times. With that said, I think it is definitely worth it to spend the extra $$$ to stay at WL. It is an absolutely beautiful resort.

Oh btw, the strollers do not have to be folded to travel on the larger boat (green flag) to the MK.
